Presentation Evaluation Process |

Selections for presentations will be evaluated based on the
following criteria:

Applicability: relevance of the ideas and/or techniques to
other conference attendees; presenter & project results are
associated with New England
-
Originality: new or advanced application of an existing
practice or presentation of a new idea

Soundness: thoroughness of explanation; assumptions are
reasonable; techniques used appropriately
-
Organization: organization of logic, clarity of definition
for problem and/or objective, clear explanations
-
Comparative Quality: overall quality and value relative to
other papers submitted
All selection decisions by the LHNEC Conference Planning Committee
are final. Abstracts accepted for presentation and/or
publication are subject to editing for clarity and space
considerations by the Conference Planning Committee.
*Please note that conference speakers are not paid or reimbursed
for travel expenses; however, the primary presenter is given a
FREE registration for admission to the conference. This is
our way of saying thank you (over $200 in value).
2010
SPEAKER RESPONSIBILITIES
To maintain the quality of the Conference and ensure the planning
process runs smoothly, the committee has outlined several
responsibilities of the speaker. If you submit a proposal to
Lean Healthcare New England, you must agree to:

Deliver the presentation and written materials consistent
with the proposal submitted.
-
Abide by all due dates, review processes, and reviewer
requests.

Manage the presentation in a manner, which avoids the
appearance of selling or promoting a specific commercial
product or service. Service providers will be asked to avoid
commercialization of presentations, "selling" or "marketing"
services and/or products, and to serve as an objective
information resource for the viewers.

Company or Organization branding logos are limited to two
(2) appearances within the presentation. A single,
non-obtrusive Copyright marker, no larger than 12 point
font, may be displayed on each slide to protect intellectual
capital.

Ensure that the presentation is produced with clear, shapely
defined, legible graphics.
-
Provide the opportunity for attendees for session to ask
questions (5 minutes minimum).
-
Secure a qualified replacement speaker in the event of
illness or other reason for the unavailability of the
speaker.

Alignment: consistent with the conference theme or concepts
supporting the theme
