Two simultaneous presentations - pick the topics that interest you! |
|
|
The presentation categories are
below and we will ensure that each category has at least 2 presentations
within them to provide the
maximum value to attendees who work in specific areas of a health system. We realize that people from the Emergency
Department, for example, would like to hear more than one presentation in
their own category. The categories for this upcoming conference will
be:
 |
Perioperative and Surgical Services (i.e.
O.R.'s, sterilization, pre and post care) |
 |
Emergency Services (i.e. emergency,
ambulatory, intensive care, cardiac trauma) |
 |
Outpatient Services (i.e. GI,
endo.,
imaging, catscan, surgery consults, physician practices, post
care) |
 |
Research and/or Benchmarking (i.e. unique
tools/techniques, current events and up-and-coming trends) |
 |
Inpatient Care (i.e. med surge units,
progressive care, family care, inpatient services like rehab, radiology) |
 |
Overall Lean Applications
(i.e. across the entire organization, hospital or health system,
materials management, 5S across the organization) |
At every conference, the committee awards
a Lean Change Agent Prize ("CAP") to the
organization demonstrating the highest change agent impact. Impact is
qualified and judged by the following four criteria. To be eligible, a
representative from the organization must contact the conference
Director of
Operations to start the application process.
-
Number of change agents engaged within
your organization. A change agent is one who leads
Lean projects. Leading a Waste Walk or Kaizen will qualify!
Change Agents are also considered:
 |
Lean Facilitators, Sensei's and
Champions |
 |
Green Belts, Black Belts and
Master Black Belts |
 |
Active project sponsors
(denoted on project charter) |
-
The number of Kaizen events
(improvement projects) completed. Completion means that at least 1 audit has been conducted.
-
A Lean Steering Committee is
engaged, meets regularly and has a formal mission statement
-
Has an impact realization tool
that measures the success, results and savings of each Lean project
Conference will be held
